Catalogue
Six product types
Simple, with variants, by weight or measure, perishable (batches and expiry dates), recipe made of ingredients, or service with no stock. An interactive guide helps you pick the right type when creating a product.
Size × colour variants
One product, all its variations. Each variant has its own name, SKU, price, barcode and reorder point, with stock tracked separately.
Recipes and bills of materials (BOM)
Build a dish or an assembled product from ingredients, with nested sub-recipes. On every sale the ingredients are deducted and the food cost is computed automatically.
Generated EAN-13 barcodes
No supplier barcode? POSNEX generates a compliant internal one, with no risk of colliding with retail products.
Label printing
Name, price and barcode on ready-to-print labels, with the number of copies you need.
Categories and sub-categories
Organise your aisles as a tree. In restaurant mode, each category can be routed to a kitchen station.
Options and extras
Cooking, size, sauce, extra cheese: create required or optional option groups with extra prices, and link an option to an ingredient in stock.
Ingredients hidden at checkout
Non-sellable items (raw materials) stay tracked in stock but never clutter the POS screen.
Create your categories
Aisles, families, menus: a simple tree that also filters the POS.
Add your products
Pick the type, enter price and barcode, or build variants. Recipes are built from existing ingredients.
Label and sell
Print labels, scan at the counter, let stock take care of itself.
Made for Morocco
Local or generated barcodes, prices in dirhams, product names typed in Arabic or French: the catalogue speaks your team's language.
Can I sell by weight or by metre?
Yes. “By weight or measure” products accept decimal quantities, for example 0.350 kg, and the price follows the quantity.
How do I handle expiry dates?
With the perishable type: each stock entry carries a batch number and an expiry date. On sale, POSNEX picks the batch that expires first (FEFO).
How many products can I create?
50 products on the free plan, unlimited on Pro and Business.
Can a recipe contain another recipe?
Yes, bills of materials nest: a dough used in several dishes, for instance. POSNEX prevents loops and computes the cost across the whole tree.
