7 am, register opened with the float. The morning goes by scanning, bread and vegetables by weight. At 2 pm the connection drops for ten minutes: nobody notices. In the evening, blind count, a MAD 12 variance traced to the day's cashier, and on the dashboard: MAD 4,200 in sales, 18% margin, six products below threshold to order before tomorrow.
Can I import my products with their barcodes?
Yes. You create products with the supplier barcode, or POSNEX generates an internal EAN-13 for bulk and unlabelled items. Bulk import is done with our team during onboarding.
How do I handle bread, vegetables or cheese by weight?
With the “by weight or measure” product type: you enter the weight, the price is computed per kilo. A connected scale is not required.
What about products that expire?
The “perishable” type records batch and expiry date at each receipt. Stock is issued FEFO and the stock overview shows what expires soon.
How much does POSNEX cost for a neighbourhood grocery?
The free plan covers one store, two users and 50 products. A grocery quickly exceeds 50 references: the Pro plan at MAD 150 per month removes the limit and adds supplier purchasing.
